Brian and Erick's New Beginning

At Barrizi Organization Kenya, we believe every child deserves a chance to learn. That's why we helped two boys, Brian and Erick, who lived in the slums of Kisumu. They were facing tough lives—no money for food, and no way to go to school. Brian loved to write, but his family couldn’t afford school fees. Erick was full of questions about the world, but his family also couldn’t send him to school. We stepped in to help. We provided them with school fees, uniforms, and books. On their first day of school, they walked proudly in their new uniforms, full of hope. At school, Brian worked hard and loved to read. Erick asked many questions and loved learning. They both started to do well in class, and we saw their confidence grow. Now, Brian dreams of becoming an engineer, and Erick wants to be a teacher. We’re proud to have helped them, and we know they will keep working hard to achieve their dreams. We also want to take a moment to thank all of our donors and supporters. Without your generous contributions, none of this would have been possible. You made it happen, and Brian and Erick now have a brighter future because of you. Thank you for giving them a chance to change their lives.

A New Beginning for Jasmine

We first met four-year-old Jasmine* wandering alone through the crowded slum streetshungry, exhausted, and covered in dirt. Her fragile state spoke volumes about the hardships she faced daily. After some effort, we traced her home and discovered a heartbreaking reality. Jasmines mother, battling severe mental health challenges, often subjected her to unprovoked physical abuse. Her father, though hardworking and dedicated, spent long hours at the dumpsite as the familys sole provider, leaving Jasmine without adequate care or supervision. Understanding the urgency of her situation, we reached out to her father and agreed to enroll Jasmine in our daycare program. Here, she now spends her days in a safe, nurturing environment where she is cared for, fed, and supported while her father works to provide for their family. Today, Jasmine is thriving. Her laughter fills the air, her smile is brighter, and she finally has a space where she feels safe, valued, and loved. *Name changed to protect privacy.

From Despair to Hope: Beryl's Journey of Resilience

Beryl* is a young mother of three, courageously living positively with HIV/AIDS. Once employed as a casual laborer in a flower company, she faced an unexpected layoff that turned her life upside down. Despite relentless efforts to find another job, opportunities remained elusive. Out of desperation, Beryl joined friends scavenging at a nearby dumpsite, collecting cardboard boxes for recycling. With no school fees, her children accompanied her daily, exposed to harsh conditions. Their combined earnings barely covered a single meal a day and rent, leaving them in a cycle of poverty and uncertainty. Amid these struggles, Beryl was referred to our organization by a kind-hearted individual. After conducting a thorough home visit and background check, we were able to fully sponsor her children's education, ensuring they could return to school and dream of a better future. But our support didn't stop there. We also empowered Beryl with a small business of her own, enabling her to leave the hazardous dumpsite behind and prioritize her health and well-being. Today, Beryl stands as a testament to resilience and hope, proof that a helping hand can transform lives and ignite lasting change. *Name changed to protect privacy.
